Absolute madman. Painting an orange car white is nuts for starters But is it a model of historic significance? Oh not at all. It is a mockery of a once proud name with a racing heritage so closely associated with Le Mans that back when their poseur-mobiles still had keys they were on the left side of the steering wheel. Well at least it wasn't too hard. Wrong again my friend! You were sanding between coats. Plural. For moms, anything. Love it.

Hey Tom, I always enjoy these little projects... I'm a 1/18 collector, nothing particularly extensive... mostly just famous race cars. I have Siffert's 917, Miles' GT40, Gurney's TA Challenger, a 956, 935, C.7R, etc, etc...

Anyway, like I commented in Jack's other post, I'm currently in Japan on vacation. A couple of days ago, I stopped by the Sparks retail store in Ginza, Tokyo... scale model heaven!! Lots of different scales, but I bought a 1/18 Mazda 787B...

Have you ever considered using some kind of solvent to strip the paint off? Better living through chemistry.

Well done!

You could give it even more detail by painting the pillars/door frames or alternately to use very fine tape do accent the pillars.
