Nice nice car Tom, you are lucky to find one as most have been picked up by second owner Uber drivers and run hard and put away wet. Nice that it does not have the Omni present Black interior. Congratulations and Best of All it is a Cadillac…
Despite GM's concerted, focused efforts to destroy my dream; one day I will own a Cadillac. I don't know what I ever did to them to hate me so very much that they would put so much effort into thwarting me personally, but I will not be denied.
I had to look up the dimensions and I am impressed.
200” in length, 18 cu ft trunk, and a 19 gallon gas tank. I hate all these cars with small trunks and small gas tanks. Have some Sedan de Ville badges made and slap them on this beauty!
Nice work, Tom. I’ve had a few of those as rental cars and really liked them. I remember spinning the wheels at 45 mph, and the trunk that devours luggage. One thing I wasn’t able to get used to in just a few days was the haptic A/C and stereo controls. Does your model have those?
It had a lot of automatic settings I didn't like, like A/C kicked on and off, cooled seat kicked on and off, with no input. I figured out how to disable them in the owners manual. I also turned off the 'easy exit' seat, where it boosted up and moved around when you turned off car & opened the door. It was like Darnell getting crushed in Christine, lol!
Beautiful Caddy! My new Lyriq Lot Poison Edition is emerald green with light grey (almost white!) interior. I also looked far and wide to find a non white/grey/black exterior and no black interior.
That's Celestial Metallic and it was also my first choice but very rare to find on the lot. I also think the Lyriq (Celestiq too) is another design that looks much better in person than in photos. It's hard to make a "crossover" distinctive looking, but I think Cadillac did an excellent job.
I've always loved styling that strayed from the norm, like my 2013 Quattroporte GTS. It's a half year model...last of the Ferrari develped, Pininfarina designed 5th gen. Jeremy Clarkson said it looked like a Vauxhall when he saw a picture of it, but then gushed about how gorgeous it was in person.
There was one at McLaughlin in early September in that color, really liked it. You know I'm not an SUV guy but one of those, in that color, with say the 3.6 instead of electric...I'd have to think about it.
Very similar color combination as my old 2016 ELR.
Hope you have better luck with the CUE touchscreen than I had with the ELR - I had two fail, likely due to high temperatures in the car.
The Lacrosse was on the same platform, but the last couple of years GM stretched the wheelbase, but for some stupid GM reason did not use it for the XTS; I always thought the XTS wheelbase didn't look right.
I'll be there with my friend Jim, he always has a table in the back left corner. I always find awesome stuff there. Only problem is sometimes I buy too much, ha.
Great car, great colors, amazing condition. Salute 🫡
Just thrilled to see this.
I liked the MKZ, but this is fathoms better.
If GM fired the Whole Foods lady and pace car crasher, they could be SO good....
Smithers will be delighted!
Lime rickeys for everyone!
You should have purchased an old Lexus and fixed it up a bit instead.
NO
Please God no more old Lexus sedan content I beg of you
Is Jack reading?
Who?
Are you AI?
Nothing intelligent about me, son
I asked if you were steak sauce...

Congratulations, Tom. You made a great decision. The color combo is the best.
Enjoy your car, amigo, it looks like a good one. I had a 1954 Cadillac Sedan de Ville many years ago.
What a great car that was, still miss it.

That’ll save you from having to replace a seat motor when it prematurely wears out!
I never figured out why that feature existed in the first place.
Drive it in good health.

Enjoy the last DeVille!
I do like the Lyriq's looks, it is distinctive. There is also a dark amethyst hue I've seen that it looks terrific in.

Very nice. Glad your wait paid off.
May we ask the bottom line?
I can say I got it for just a bit shy of 22K.
At that mileage you did incredible! What a car for the money!
Congrats and what an absolute steal at that price!
Tom,
Congrats on the new Caddy!

Well done and congratulations! When will we read about the first road trip/dinner house/ G&T report?
Well the big toy/dealer promo car show in Chicagoland is this Sunday. May hit The Cellar for shrimp/filet/G&T on the way back if it isn't too late.
Expecting a full report if it happens.
Inquiring minds want to know.
Thank you for mentioning the show. I completely forgot about it. I'm definitely going.

Congratulations on the new ride. It looks great in that combo!
