Happy Easter Tom, an outstanding car and well bought. I am surprised you did not notice that the dealer installed a stand up ornament on the car where as in 1975 the hood ornament was on the leading edge of the hood, as this car has both and Cadillac never installed two wreath and crest ornaments next to each other. Just a little dealer all on, or the original owner saw the stand up ornament on the 1976 models and at a service appointment said put one of those on my car. Still not a deal breaker. I absolutely love those outstanding, some would say Wild, cloth interiors offers on the 1974-1975 models.

A little proper historical perspective from the Jennifer Blue man himself! Thank you!

Yes, DHOS: double hood ornament syndrome.

If you don't tell your kids, who will? 🤣

What a car! And that cloth interior is just fantastic. I once had a yellow 76 Sedan deVille with the fuel injected 500. Can't beat the ride in one of these old battleships.

I think one of these might fit in my garage, if I tossed out everything else...

Great find and write-up, Tom. Happy Easter!

Before I got my license I'd bicycle the length of Commonwealth Avenue from Boston College to Boston University, stopping at every car dealership on "Automobile Row." Of course I'd sit behind the wheels of each manufacturer's muscle cars and wiggle the Hurst shifters (before ignition interlocks prevented that) but a highlight was always sitting in the BACK seat a big Caddy, marveling at the legroom and the fold-down footrest. Here's the Wiki on the Petter Fuller Cadillac/Olds building: https://www.facebook.com/john.m.sullivan52/photos/peter-fuller-cadillac-olds-commonwealth-avenue-boston-ma/10234987912467267/?_rdr

And a great article on the history of the urban car dealerships on Commonwealth Avenue: https://www.bu.edu/articles/2011/a-trip-down-automobile-row/

Fun fact: Jay Leno worked at Foreign Motors towards the BC end of Comm. Ave. as a kid, prepping new BMWs for delivery.

Beautiful car, great color scheme and NO LEATHER!

Thanks Tom!

EDIT: here's the wikipedia entry for the Cadillac/Olds building: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Fuller_Building

That is what a Cadillac dealer should look like.

The building has a five story internal car ramp. It was built as a factory authorized saies outlet.

Anybody else miss 4(?) body trunks?

Was there a 2 door version of this? I believe one of my grandmothers had a Caddy just like this, albeit with two doors. It was the mid-80s, I was a child, and it was big.
