Too bad that Boxster was a Tiptronic.

Yeah the color scheme is my kind of weird. But I’d need god’s pedal for certain.

Great road trip and show. It would have been great to have had the owner demonstrate the hid a way headlights on the Rivera. Gee the engineering Buick did to make that feature work just to have a clean daytime grill.

Tom; thanks for covering events like this. You see some totally amazing cars at local shows.

Was the Olds in the 4th picture a 54? My Great Grandmother owned one them and a few years later she gave it to my father. It was gone by 63 when I learned to drive.

Tom Klockau's avatar

It was a '57. Super 88 I think.

I don’t think we’re getting car show season this spring. Currently on track to be the second rainiest year since 2011. I just fabbed up a snorkel for my push mower.

Where are you located ? .

The South West Coast is predicted to have the worst "El Nino'' in decades, this means lots of rain .

Along with that snorkel don't forget to clean the spark plug's insulator and fill the wire cap with dielectric grease so plenty of spark on those wet days, likewise flip it over and sharpen the blade _now_ as wet grass is tough to cut .

NE Ohio. Have the end of the line / top of the line self propelled Honda with dual blades. It does an awesome job. Solid tips though I’ve used in the past.

Cool .

I dislike running mowers .

Mine tend to rust / fall apart and are 10x bandaided back together as they’re always secondhand. I do keep them running well though.

This Honda was my first new one ever. I guess they stopped making them completely at the same time I was shopping so I’m glad I was able to get one. I’ve seen a secondhand market selling them used for crazy money.

Wow but that figures .

Old HONDA Motocycles are one of my foolish loves, apart from a very few they're worthless but every single one is a pleasure to ride and dead easy + dirt cheap to maintain once you've fixed all the DPO & DPM messes .

I see old lawn mowers everywhere I go, if there's a starting rope I always give it a yank, pretty much any old mower that turns and has even minor compression can be made to run again .

HELL YEAH BORTHER CORBETTE

the 442 was cool too

Tom Klockau's avatar

I LOVED the green on the 442.

That C2 is almost dream-spec, the blue paint and 4 speed are brilliant but I'm not sure I'd want to live with black interior in a convertible.

Tom Klockau's avatar

Needs a matching blue interior.

I never tire looking at a C2 Corvette...

Nice pics. I've always been intrigued by Corvairs, but never pulled the trigger and bought one. I'd call it "America's attempt at a 911," except the Corvair came first.

That '71 Road Runner is beautiful too.

You hit the jackpot for that car show but I won't speculate about your post show activities. Besides, my heart can handle only so many Baruthian tales.

Drop top C2, drop top GTO, probably fake GT Mustang drop top, drop top Boxster, Drop top GTX.

Clarkson once said you look like a cock when you drive a convertible. With those on offer my glans is getting tanned.

Oh gosh, nothing like that. We chatted at the bar, had a few beers, lunch, then I went home and did laundry and watched a couple episodes of Columbo, haha.

Jack and I are very different folks. :D

Well, you were still the Alpha Male, given the location.

Any chance you made it to the CECG wagon-only meet, since you're kinda close to me? Some very interesting vehicles were there.

Tom Klockau's avatar

I did not. But planning to attend the Geneva Concours in August.

-Nate's avatar

You had me at the pea green Edsel teaser pic. =8-) .

I love local show & shines, they always have the best 'regular' vehicles from gran-pa's dusty original 19?? rig to the home made rigs, I like those second best, sometimes they're really impressive .
