The Secret Street-Tire Weapon...

...may not be such a secret any more.

Despite being down on power compared to some of the competition at AER's Warkins Glen event, we were able to stay in the hunt for fastest laps thanks to the Yokohama Advan A08R 180-treadwear tire. I'm always reluctant to sing the unalloyed praises of an automotive product --- this isn't Motor Trend but in this case I was so impressed by the tire's performance I'm telling everyone. We're hoping to work with Yokohama all the way through the 2015 season, but the fact is that even if we have to get our Yokos from Tire Rack that's what we're going to do. Compared to the Direzza Star Specs I used in Houston, the Yokohamas are simply brilliant. Now all we have to do is be brilliant drivers, right?
