Sunday Sunday Sunday

The clone is about to turn five years old! This is odd because I can vividly remember his early days in the incubator like they were yesterday, but on the other hand it's hard to recall exactly how I thought about things and prioritized my life before he was born. We had a very nice party for him, his cousins arrived to play Legos and fly his brace of quad-rotors around, and he received about three long tons of toys from various well-wishers. After the party, I went home and wrote a different sort of Sunday Story for TTAC. So far it's proving to be a bigger draw than the usual fare; our weekend traffic is always slow but this is drawing the kind of clicks that would make it a success even had it been published on a weekday.
This is as good a place as any to put a few links to various Sunday Story and fiction pieces of the past in TTAC, random things I've written. So: in addition to the one above, we have:
The little death: introducing our emotionally distant Marty Stu, Sebastian.
Angle of slip: Sebastian trades in.
Turnaround: romantic disaster on the way to Virginia International Raceway.
Where It's Due: it's never too late to have an unhappy childhood.
A Free Man In Parisienne: inspired by actual events (um, totally unlike any of the other stories).
Memphis: emotionally dead anti-hero struggles with leading member of the Twitterati on Beale Street.
The Car Girls: inspired by a high school classmate who was diagnosed with breast cancer.
The Dangling (Sponsored) Conversation: awkward romance blossoms between car-forum participants.
The Blockers: uncivil disobedience in the Orwellian future.
The CAFE Continuum: a nod to William Gibson that predicts my Town Car crash almost two years to the day before it happened.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm apparently booked to drive a Camaro Z/28 this week. Not very exciting, if you ask me; I was hoping for at least an IROC-Z. The last time I was in a Z/28 it had "Cross Fire Injection", which I don't even think this one has. But in this business, you take what you can get!
