Snow Tires On A Racetrack?

It seems like a ridiculous idea: take a fast car to a racetrack, put snow tires on, see what kind of terrible things happen. And it is a ridiculous idea! This article was a long time coming --- I did the driving and Andrew took the photographs back in March --- but I think it turned out okay. Perhaps it could have better: my central point (that running winter tires doesn't "ruin" a car, nor does driving a winter tire on a clean road automatically destroy it) was mostly missed by the most vocal of our readers, who thought I was advocating the entry of club races using winter tires. Oops.
