Return Of The Prodigal Drummer, Arrival Of The Adrenalinn III

It's been an exciting week around here! Well, it's been a depressing week in the sense that I'm back to full-time employment after five great weeks spent traveling across the country and to Europe. But there's been plenty of good news as well.
To begin with, my world-famous drummer and bon vivant has returned to the fold, meaning that I now have a "band" instead of a "duo". Three people is a band, right? We had our first practice session on Thursday and it was like we'd been hanging out just last week instead of November of 2013. We're working on a very timely new song from D'Angelo's blockbuster new record, and it's coming together reasonably well.
Also in music news: I expanded my Craiglist surfing beyond "missed connections w4m" a bit and found a like-new Adrenalinn III for sale at nearly half price. The Adrenalinn III is the only way to properly play three important John Mayer tunes and it's the only way to even come close to "Bigger Than My Body", which uses the Adrenalinn's arpeggiator to create the melody line.
Obvi, that's why I bought the thing, but it turns out that it also has fifty great amp models and, more importantly, one hundred and ninety drum loops. So even if our drummer wanders off again, Patrick and I will be able to rely on a machine. The only problem might be that the Adrenalinn III is so complex and intelligent it could potentially become self-aware, at which point it would effectively be a human drummer, which in my experience means that it would miss practice and then I'll get some anguished call from some white girl about it in the dead of night, telling me that the Adrenalinn III needs to be bailed out of the Franklin County workhouse.
Lastly, from the "you can't please all the people all the time" department, comes this trio of responses to my article on Matt Farah's LS400:

Wait, that's not the last bit of news I have. I'm working on a new website in my (complete lack of) spare time. It's a collaboration with a well-known blogger from a totally different hobby... and it's going to be amazing/fabulous/ridiculously awesome/full of goodness/insert your choice of completely played-out phrase meaning "not bad" here. Watch this space!
