Random Pictures From The Third Rock Party, And A Video

Busy weekend for me. Sunday morning I arrived at VIR for a failed attempt at a Guiness Book Record that still saw us finish 33rd of the 94 cars despite being the only biodiesel-fueled car on the track. The "Smoke Ewe" Golf was a joy to drive and I managed to move us up the standings a dozen or places during my stint.
Four hours before stepping into the Golf, however, I was playing some music in Charlotte.
This is the same thing I did last year but this year the venue was different and much more challenging acoustically. On the positive side, we had some guest singers which was fun. Mark and I took requests and we played four songs right out of the fakebook without rehearsal, some with more success than others.
The video part of it could have gone better. As the party gets going, the crowd noise gradually makes it impossible for the recorder to pick much up.
Still, it was a great time. You should be there next year!
