PSA: All The World's A Stage
Those of you who are what they used to call "hi-fi enthusiasts" might want to take a quick trip over to eBay tonight.
Erstwhile enfant terrible of Stereophile magazine and friend of this site, John Marks, has been auctioning a variety of items to benefit the Knight Memorial Library. The most interesting of the auctions at the moment is for a Parasound phono stage. If you're plugging your turntable directly into your receiver, STOP DOING THAT RIGHT NOW! and check this out. It's signed by well-regarded pianist Hyperion Knight. I'm not sure there's any relation there.
Anyway, I can tell you from personal experience that Parasound knows how to make a phono stage. If you don't have one, this is a great chance to save a buck and help out a worthy cause.
BUT.
If you win this auction, I will also send you a Random Gift Of My Choice which will most likely be a T-shirt or some press-trip swag. So bid early (well, soon, anyway) and bid often!
