Ocean Fade Was Then, Green Fade Is Now

Where do you go after you commission the finest Blue Fade PRS in all the world?
Away from the ocean. Out of the green, into the blue.
My friends at MusicStoreLive were instrumental in getting my Ocean Fade Private Stock built exactly the way I wanted it. The moment I took delivery, I could feel that little "click" in my head I get when I've fulfilled one of my insane little internal tasks. The ocean, the beach, romance, item-to-symbolize-feelings, all of that --- handled. Of course, Ben over at MSL didn't know that, so he reached out me last week about buying a beater version of my Private Stock to use at gigs and whatnot.
Yes, I'm aware of the irony of using a special-run PRS as a "beater". But that's as cheap as you can make something that even remotely resembles my Private Stock. You can save more money by having Carvin do it, but although I'm a Carvin fan, THAT AIN'T RIGHT.
Anyway, I was going to call Ben up and talk to him about the changes in my life and how various people are going to the beach without me and how I'm going to the beach without them and all that, but then I realized that he probably hates me as much as I hate my customers sometimes. I've been a genuine pain in the ass to him, sending emails like "Is this Perambuco or Chaltecoco?" and "I need you to confirm, absolutely, that this is a Pattern Neck and not a Pattern Thin." Don't even get me started on the proper shades of abalone for the birds on the fretboard. I have opinions. And then I saw that he had the same guitar in Green Fade, with the proper neck and the Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and all of that stuff.
Done.
I was explaining the guitar to my son and he said, "I want you to stop talking and play the song about Jonathan."
"The song about Jonathan?" And then he broke my heart a little bit by opening his mouth and, in his already perfect pitch, singing,
"The world is alive now / In and outside our hooooome... You should come back home/ back on your own nowwwww"
Alright, John, you have your way, no more guitar talking, we'll hear the song that says "Jonathan", but more importantly, it says
Tell me anything you want Any old lie will do Call me back to you.
