My Pals Banovsky And Zak Got Some New Stuff, Yo

Before I left for Barcelona, I had the pleasure of getting some neat stuff in the mail.

From my colleague and fellow Found Footage Festival attendee, Michael Banovsky, we have Weird Cars. I credit Bano with first alerting me to the issues with media ethics in automotive journalism some seven years ago. His new book should be great fun and I'm looking forward to it.

From Zak at Spaceman, we have two of the Spacerocket reissues. Zak did me a solid and sent me the #1 Green Spacerocket. Check it out --- and look at the new anniversary badging!

I now have three Spacerockets but I don't mind owning multiple copies of each Spaceman pedal. I prefer, it really. They're made in extremely small batches and if you lose or damage one you can't count on being able to get another.

What else is going on? Well, I'm planning on doing a ChumpCar race behind the wheel of a Neon at the end of the month. Other than that... nothing I can share with you.

By which I really mean "nothing at all".

Sometimes it's nice to take a break.
