Made In The USA: Lanona

Yes, all of our footwear and accessories are 100% sourced and produced in the United States. None of this 'North American Made' or 'Assembled in America' bullshit we've been seeing too much of lately - Lanona is Made in the USA. Period.
Well, be still my heart.
You can't read this blog for any length of time and not know that brother Bark and I collectively own well over one hundred pairs of Allen-Edmonds shoes. That doesn't mean that I don't own other American-made shoes and boots --- there's a set of top-line Red Wings from 1997 in my closet that don't even seem close to being ready for the landfill --- and it doesn't mean that I'm not always on the look for new American-made shoes and boots.
Lanona is a new thing. I like their story and I like the commitment they display. I don't like the look of their shoes, for the most part, but that's my problem and I will readily admit that I have a bit of an odd eye when it comes to footwear. The Porter boot, on the other hand, has a great aesthetic that's half Doc Marten and half Allen-Edmonds Sturgis. If you are willing to take a flyer on the brand, you can pick up a set at Massdrop for just $299.00
I'm in on the Massdrop buy. I picked black uppers, rubber sole, and cap toe. I'm hoping their sizing advice is right on the money. I'll keep all of you posted on how these boots hold up to the demands of my inept and confrontational urban motorcycling style.
