I hadn’t been to a good Cadillac LaSalle Club show since 2022, when myself and Jayson Coombes drove up to the Grand National in Lombard. Ettleson Cadillac had their show last year, an event I last attended in 2019 and always found excellent.
But it was moved to Labor Day weekend and I had plans with family members at the Grape Festival show in Nauvoo, IL at the same time, so I couldn’t make it.
I was intending to go to the same show this year, but found out from my Cadillac friends in the greater Chicago area that they cancelled it this year. Curses!
Fortunately I found out from Jim, Bill and Ron that Patrick Cadillac in Schaumburg was having a show, and that show was held today.
So yesterday I filled the tank on the MKZ and this morning about 6 I got up, hopped in the car and drove the approximately 177 miles to the event.
And I could not have been happier. This wasn’t a really big show, but the cars in attendance were all high caliber and interesting.
Even better, there was a food truck that served all show goers in fine fettle. Had a genuine Chicago dog with all the extras, and it was excellent.
Know what’s better than going to a great show? Going to a great show and getting fed!
I know this post is short on text, but I wanted to do a quick one on the event, which was excellent, and to thank the fine folks at the dealer, for hosting such a fine event. Totally worth the trip.
SO much beauty there ! . thanx for sharing =8-) .

the caddillacs are nice and all but what exactly is a chicago dog
ive come to understand that certain parts of america have a preferred way of making and dressing hotdogs and to do so otherwise is blasphemy and/or will get you shot
