Brief updates on my musical and racing lives:
Some time ago, I wrote about my concern with Eventide's decision to make the H9 in China. After some back-and-forth with the vendor, they agreed to accept a return and give me a full credit. Shame, really, because the iPad integration was amazing and the effects really did do what I wanted them to do. But $700 for a Chinese stompbox? No.
Meanwhile, if you want to read a stirring account of our race to 29th place this weekend, I'd recommend you check out Bark's Bites. My brother does a good job of capturing the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. I will say this: to run at the head of a forty-car field for half an hour is something that sticks in your mind. It can make up for a lot of sorrow.
