Guitar Hero!

This was waiting for us when I got back from New York. Not the kid, although he was, in fact, waiting: the guitar. It's called a Loog II. John picked the shape from the available models, but when he opened it today be briefly wished that he'd chosen the Flying V. No matter. We're off to a slow start. I used to teach beginning guitar, but everybody involved was at least ten years old. John's a bit tougher to work with. So far we're kind of playing "Smoke On The Water".
More to come, obviously.
Those of you who have memorized my guitar collection --- and that, ah, is not a set of individuals that includes me --- will have noticed the brand-new Paul Reed Smith P22 Piezo Quilt 10 Top in Eriza Verde. It's a freaking monster and if I could get my bass player to stop attending Blue Jackets playoff games (ha ha) I might be able to show it off a bit for ya'll.
