Factory Five 818-R First Drive at RoadAndTrack.com

I had the chance to drive Factory Five's new WRX-based roadster at Gingerman Raceway this past Friday.

You can find a brief story here but there will also be a long print feature with all sorts of neat photography in an upcoming issue of the magazine. I'm looking forward to it.

The 818 and I did not initially get along --- and that's a story I will tell some time in the near future --- but in the end I came to really enjoy and respect the car. I think it's worth the money, if you're willing to put up with the usual kit-car issues. If you aren't, go buy a 2002 Corvette Z06 for the same money. I wouldn't call you stupid for doing so.
