OK, you probably got enough Brougham overload with the ‘79 triple mint green Bonnie Landau, but wanted to report on Jason’s progress with his silver-blue Monte Carlo. He’s already made great progress in the car’s appearance and he and his girlfriend have been really enjoying it.
As he related last week, “I've had it for 4 days. Here's what this 1976 Monte Carlo Landau is looking like now. More work ahead. I didn't bother cleaning the whitewalls because the tires are dry rotted. Also-those spoked wheel covers will be coming off as well.
“I got a TON of work done on this since yesterday. My goal is have this looking like a totally different car by next Saturday so I can take Ailyne out for the first cruise of the season.”
More later! But it looks like the paint is coming back, and that botched incorrect paint the previous owner attempted came off with no problems!
Continued updates on paint restoration please! Always interested on how to make old paint look as good as it can rather than repaint panels.
