1976 Seville: Creme Brulee Luxury Group
OK, here is that ‘76 Seville I referenced earlier this week. Yes, I know I’ve written up a bunch of these, but I love them so here we go!
I’ve gone over these fine cars many times, so today’s post will be short and sweet. But I saw this Calumet Cream one on CL Seattle for $9750 and it was just so tidy I had to save the pics—and send it to my fellow Cadillac maniac Jayson in case he wanted to buy it.
He texted back, “Based on that interior I’d say it’s a true 86K miles. You’re right though, bland colors but very ‘70s.”
His first car was a light silver-blue metallic ‘79 Seville with Antique Light Blue leather. It had faded paint but ran great and he loved it. He’d like to find another ‘75 1/2-’79 eventually, if the right one comes along, and isn’t halfway across the country.
And while I don’t hate the colors, Cadillac had such amazing available hues in 1976 that this particular combo would be towards the bottom in your author’s opinion.
I think my first choice would be Firethorn Red with white leather, red dash and carpet, and white top. And I’d have to get some Clark Griswold white leather loafers to wear when I drove it. Second choice would probably be triple Greenbrier Firemist. Then maybe Sable Black with white interior and black dash and carpet, then maybe Commodore Blue (a navy blue metallic) with matching top and blue interior.
It does appear to have a crease in the lower passenger side rear door, but otherwise looks pretty tidy. I’d drive it to The Cellar for surf and turf proudly!

The carpet matches the Landau, if you know what I mean.
That’s a rare interior color for a first generation Seville and really works with the Calumet Cream. It is a much nicer color in person. Jayson is correct that appears to be all original and has been pampered as the steering wheel still has the fragile (after 50 years) wood insert in the rim. That is a good buy for under $10k.
